Want to know what 1950s Superman has to say about the refugee crisis?

And here's an article from The Atlantic (sent to us from Mrs. Shoemaker!) about why America should accept Syrian refugees. Their main points are that it is actually a "cheaper" and "morally superior" option to further warfare.








I also just found this article about two champion Syrian swimmers who used their skills to escape to safety.

Adam and Colette both found out from the New York Times why it takes two years for Syrian refugees to apply to enter the US.






Abby discovered this video. She said it was really powerful and helped her understand how difficult a refugee's journey can be.

    I cant believe that refugees have to go through all that stuff in order to go to America. I mean by the time all of that is done they might be dead.

    The post shows that the refugee crisis has been going on for a long time.
    It is important because it tells the viewers that the refugee crisis is not a new thing.
    My question is why are the refugees discriminated?

    The video is so sad but i am so happy that people are right there when they come off of the boats to help then it is hard to leave the place you love to rick it all and go to a place you have never been before.

    Whoa. Really sad video I watched it at my house it shows how bad refugees have it. We need to do something about it. P.S, I agree about the Superman thing that Nina said.

    The Syrian swimmers must have swimmed a while considering the trek 3 hours, so then they got accepted into a swimming club, so good for them, now living in a new country xD

    I must have been a rough ride coming on a boat from Syria in the video.
    Question: Why didn't the refugees just go on foot?

    I also didn't know that it takes 2 years to get in!!!! That's insane! It should be at most a month, but 2 years!? That's just plain wrong. :/

    i found out that even though Hillary Clinton is a democrat she still wants to have war with Isis. This is important to know because she does not want to send in U.S ground troops but she wants to send spec ops
